DRAMA AS THE VICE CHANCELLOR, PROF BENJAMIN OZUMBA INAUGURATES THE NEW STUDENTS UNION GOVERNMENT

The Vice Chancellor Professor Benjamin Ozumba on Thursday 5th February 2015 inaugurated the new Students Union Government of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, after a successful conduct of the elections. However, the position of the Vice President was conspicuously absent due to the impending case on the actual winner of the election.  The Vice Chancellor after
his inaugural speech invited the two major contenders for the position of the Vice President to hug themselves in front of the crowd amid laughter by the students present in the hall. He thereafter stressed the need for the two not to hold any grudges against each other and promised that the matter will be resolved amicably through rerun Elections. However, rumour has it that one of the contestant Nebo Joy Chinaza who was widely acclaimed to be the winner of the election has opted out of the rerun election insisting that her mandate be returned to her.
