UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA KINGS AND QUEENS FORUM SET TO HOST MISS UNN 2015 PAGEANTRY SHOW


All seems set for the University of Nigeria Kings and Queens Forum to host Miss UNN 2015 pageantry show. Our aim is to produce the next queen ambassador of the University that will replace the current queen that will be graduating by the end of this academic session, after serving as the queen ambassador of the school for one year.

UNN KINGS AND QUEENS FORUM SET TO HOST MR UNN

It is no longer news that the University of Nigeria Kings and Queens forum is set to host Mr UNN 2015 this semester. Right now, the forms are available at marlima and other outlets all over the campus. Although the date for the event is yet to be fixed, however, preparations for the event are on top gear, by Team Mr UNN 2015, towards ensuring a successful Mr University of Nigeria Nsukka pageantry show.  The event is however packaged by House of Cee and Utmost Apparel.

MISS UNN 2014



Miss UNN is an annual University of Nigeria, Nsuka Campus pageant that is run by the University of Nigeria Kings and Queens Forum. It was previously run in 2011, by phoenix multi concept in collaboration with the University of Nigeria council of hall Governors, after which the school social activities were put on hold by the school administration. until 2014, when the University of Nigeria Kings and Queens forum took up the task of hosting the next Miss UNN, and succeeded in lifting the ban on the event which made the previous queen Miss Chinelo Anazodo, to wear the crown for three years, until she finally handed over to her successor, Miss Akilo Kenechukwu, on 5th April 2014 in a Ground breaking event that was hosted by the University of Nigeria Kings and Queens Forum 
The current Miss UNN, Miss Akilo Kenechukwu a final year student of combined biological sciences won the crown after a fierce contest of beauty and brain that saw her beat the other fourteen contestants that went on stage with her after many were screened out during the online voting and auditions. Miss Kene now serves as the Vice president of UNN Kings and Queens Forum and has taken up her pet project of women empowerment and organising Career programs for secondary schools with the help of Mr UNN and the entire members of UNN Kings and Queens Forum.

LEADERSHIP OF THE FORUM


The University of Nigeria Kings and Queens Forum has three major leadership structures, whose overall interest is to see to the welfare and progress of the forum.
1.   The Staff Adviser
2.   The Stake Holders Council
3.   The Executive Council
Our Staff Adviser, Dr. C.I Atama is an academic staff of the University, from the Department of Zoology and Environmental Biology.


                            
 He became the Staff Adviser of the forum from inception till date, and has remained a pillar of support and encouragement to the forum. He advises the forum on any issue that affects it and also mediates between the forum and the University administration. He is a man with open heart which informed his acceptance to be our Staff Adviser upon our appeal to him to guide the forum to greater heights. He has received many students Awards from his Department, Faculty and the school at large, As the; Best Lecturer of the year, Most Student’s friendly Lecturer, and Students Lecturer of the year! The track record of his academic achievements within few years of his arrival into the academic world despite living a vibrant social life has remained a source of motivation to those of us that have decided to embrace the Universality of the University. In his words, a Good combination of our Academic, Social and Religious life is what makes one a well-rounded individual. To our able Doc, as he will always say, Aluta Continua! Victoria Aceta!



THE STAKE HOLDERS COUNCIL
The stake holder’s council comprises of the past leaders of the forum whose duty is to ensure a smooth transition and sustainability of the forum, by giving meaningful advice and direction to the executive council. They are the first point of call if any issue arises within the executive council. They meet once in a while to discuss these issues as it affects the forum and provides good ideas and suggestions to the executive council during a joint meeting of the stakeholders and the executive council.
Currently, the forum has five major stake holders who are:

THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
The Executive Council is the Administrative wing that sees to the day to day activities of the forum. Even though the reigning Mr and Miss UNN remains the automatic President and Vice of the Forum by the virtue of their positions as the number one and two members of the forum. However, the executive council is headed by the Admin, who is chosen among the members to lead the forum based on commitment, leadership qualities and team spirit.
