MISS UNN KICKS OFF HER PET PROJECT, PRESENTS CAREER SEMINAR AT FGGC LEJJA

 
The Current Miss UNN, Miss Akilo kenechukwu on Friday kicked off with her pet project as the Queen Ambassador of the university. She and her team were at Federal Government Girls College
Lejja on Friday 20th march 2015, to present a career seminar to the senior secondary student of the school.

The program which started by 11am at the school hall was opened by one of the teachers who introduced the UNN Queen Ambassador and her team led by Okpara Chimaobi, the former administrator, UNN Kings and Queens forum and the Manager Miss UNN pet projects. Other members of the team that made the historic visit include Ndukwe Chinedu, the Director of ethics UNN kings and queens forum, who was in charge of the technical crew and
the current administrator of the forum Mr Goodluck Okoye, who was among the speakers that spoke to the students, on the various discipline of study, and how to make a rational choice for a career in the university.

The Miss UNN during her speech urged the students to focus on their studies especially those subject that will help them in their future career as pointed out by the speakers. She also urged them to strive to achieve great thing for themselves, things that can give them a good sense of pride and accomplishment and not rushing into marriage after their secondary education.
 

The climax of her speech was when she requested the school queen to come up the stage, and this was greeted with a thunderous ovation as the reigning Miss FGGC Lejja walked up to the stage and embraced her fellow queen amidst cheering and clapping by everybody in the hall. Miss UNN finally presented her with a gift for winning the competition. Two other students in SSI and SSII also won the Miss UNN prize for active participation in the program.

After the program the senior head girl of the school un behalf of the students thanked the Miss UNN for choosing their school for the program and for inspiring them with her speech and prayed for God’s grace on her as she carries out her project and in her future endeavor. Also one of the teachers, who were present during the seminar, commended the Miss UNN for coming up with such a program for the students and appreciated her efforts in inspiring the young students adding that UNN is known for Excellence and therefore not surprised that she is the Queen Ambassador of the university.
